Meet Anna Friendt

Anna Friendt is the cover-artist of The Garden Keys.

She is also is an entrepreneur and artist at Anna Friendt Art & Illustration, founder and executive director at Anchor 13 Studio, a writer and speaker.

She is a wife and new mother to her beautiful daughter.

Anna has always known she wanted to be an artist. As she grew, she discovered her creativity would grow with her. Just as it is with achieving any goal, there is always hardships, resistance, and obstacles. Hers came in the form of clinical depression and severe anxiety, which stemmed from a traumatic childhood and unstable young adult life; sexual abuse, foster care to adoption, and commercial sexual exploitation – all of which she overcame. She attributes those victories to her Father in heaven and now moves forward in healing.

Anna finished attending UNWSP for a B.S. in Graphic Design in 2012. From there she started her professional creative journey freelancing her way into a flourishing graphic and web design business. By excelling in delivering polished brand identities and websites, she gained years of experience working digitally. In recent years, she could no longer ignore the innate desire to create with her hands, an experience that produces tactile characteristics that the screen and pixels cannot offer.

Currently, her favorite mediums are ink and watercolor. She shares raw, beautiful, and honest ideas through visual juxtapositions of order and chaos. Much of her inspiration is drawn from her life experiences, both before and after finding her faith. Her work is filled with as much meaning as it is filled with detail.
